Hello, my name is Veronica Marquez and it is a pleasure to greet you all. I want to share a little of this ministry with you.

I recently turned four years working for Ancla de Amor. My first year was as a “general cleaning assistant” but one day they asked me if I could help take care of the children for a week. The truth is, I was scared at first because I had no experience with children. However, as time went by I understood that God was calling me to work in the children’s area as a caregiver. That was a great achievement for me since I didn’t feel capable of doing it, but God has given me day by day what I need to do this job, and of course I couldn’t have done it without the help of my leaders. I have seen how God has transformed my life through the lives of the children. It has not been easy to take care of 15 of them, but God is so good that he gives me the strength at every moment to continue forward with joy and above all to continue learning to do my work with love and dedication.

I am very grateful to the team at Ancla de Amor and also to the leaders that God has placed here, since they have been very patient with me and have blessed me greatly, in good times and bad.

I would like to share with you that I also feel very blessed to be able to work in the ministry alongside with my son. Seeing the dedication that he has for this place and his love for children motivates me greatly and makes me very proud of him.

Here I also find a kind of peace that I had not found anywhere else where I had worked before.

Without a doubt, I love all the children, they are part of my life. And I like to see how little by little they are changing their past with the help of God, just as it has done with me. Without God I would not have been able to get to where I am now.
